At Used Cues For Sale (UCFS), these Ad Regulations are designed to maintain a trusted, professional marketplace for all users.

1. Purpose of These Rules

These Ad Regulations are designed to:

  • Maintain a trusted marketplace
  • Protect buyers and sellers
  • Ensure accurate, high-quality listings
  • Minimize fraud, spam, and disputes
  • Preserve the integrity of the UCFS platform

By submitting any listing (Free or Paid), you agree to comply fully with these rules.

2. General Listing Requirements

All listings must:

  • Be for legitimate billiard-related items only
  • Accurately represent the item being sold
  • Include truthful, complete, and non-misleading information
  • Be posted by the legal owner of the item or an authorized seller
  • Use clear, readable language (no excessive symbols, spam formatting, or misleading titles)

UCFS reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove any listing at its sole discretion.

3. Permitted Items

Listings are allowed for:

  • Pool cues (custom and production)
  • Shafts
  • Cue cases
  • Pool tables
  • Billiard accessories
  • Related billiards equipment

4. Prohibited Items & Content

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Counterfeit or replica cues (unless clearly disclosed as such)
  • Stolen property
  • Misrepresented cue makers or brands
  • Adult, illegal, or unrelated items
  • Listings intended solely to redirect traffic off-platform
  • “Bait and switch” listings (advertising one item, selling another)
  • Any fraudulent or deceptive practices

Violation may result in immediate removal and account suspension.

5. Listing Accuracy & Disclosure

Sellers MUST:

  • Accurately describe:
    • Cue maker / brand
    • Model (if known)
    • Materials and construction
    • Weight, length, and specifications
    • Condition (new, used, refinished, etc.)
  • Clearly disclose:
    • All defects (roll, dents, scratches, warping, etc.)
    • Modifications or repairs
    • Non-original parts

Failure to disclose material defects may result in:

  • Refund obligations
  • Listing removal
  • Seller penalties or suspension

6. Photo & Media Requirements

All listings must include actual photos of the item:

  • Minimum of 1 photo (Free listings)
  • Higher photo limits for Paid tiers

Photos must:

  • Be clear and well-lit
  • Show the actual item (no stock images as primary photos)
  • Accurately represent condition

Prohibited:

  • Stolen images
  • Edited images that misrepresent condition
  • Watermarks directing users off-platform

7. Pricing Rules

  • All prices must be listed in U.S. Dollars (USD)
  • Listings must reflect a genuine intent to sell
  • “$1”, “Best Offer Only”, or misleading placeholder pricing is discouraged unless clearly explained
  • Hidden fees or undisclosed charges are not allowed

8. Communication & Off-Platform Behavior

  • Buyers and sellers may communicate directly

However, sellers may NOT:

  • Use listings solely to redirect to external platforms
  • Solicit off-platform transactions to avoid UCFS systems (where applicable)

UCFS may monitor for abuse patterns to protect marketplace integrity.

9. Spam & Duplicate Listings

The following are prohibited:

  • Multiple listings for the same item (unless justified)
  • Reposting identical ads excessively
  • Keyword stuffing or SEO manipulation in titles/descriptions
  • Automated or bot-generated listings

Violations may result in reduced visibility or removal.

10. Free (Freemium) Listing Rules

Free listings are subject to additional limitations:

  • Limited photo count (as defined by current package)
  • Standard search placement (lower priority vs. paid listings)
  • No promotional placement or featured positioning

UCFS reserves the right to:

  • Limit exposure
  • Remove inactive or low-quality listings
  • Restrict repeated free listings by the same seller

11. Paid Listing Rules

Paid listings receive enhanced visibility but must still comply fully with all rules.

  • Payment does NOT guarantee approval
  • Listings may be rejected or removed if they violate policies

No refunds for:

  • Policy violations
  • Misrepresentation
  • Removed listings due to non-compliance

Premium features (placement, visibility, duration) are governed by the selected package.

12. Shipping Requirements

All sellers must comply with UCFS Shipping Standards:

  • Proper packaging required (see “How to Pack and Ship a Cue” guide)
  • Insurance recommended (required for high-value items)
  • Tracking required
  • Signature confirmation recommended for higher-value cues

Failure to follow shipping standards may result in seller liability in disputes.

13. Fraud Prevention & Verification

UCFS may:

  • Review and approve listings before publication
  • Request additional verification from sellers
  • Flag or remove suspicious listings
  • Assign “Verified Seller” status based on criteria

Accounts engaging in fraudulent behavior will be permanently banned.

14. Disputes & Liability

  • Sellers are responsible for:
    • Accuracy of listings
    • Safe packaging and shipping
    • Honest communication
  • Buyers are responsible for:
    • Reviewing listings carefully
    • Asking questions prior to purchase

UCFS acts as a marketplace platform and is not responsible for:

  • Transaction outcomes
  • Shipping damage (if guidelines not followed)
  • Misrepresentation by sellers

15. Enforcement & Penalties

UCFS reserves the right to:

  • Remove any listing at any time
  • Suspend or terminate seller accounts
  • Limit listing privileges
  • Restrict access to premium features

Violations may result in:

  • Immediate removal
  • Loss of listing fees
  • Permanent ban from the platform

16. Acceptance of Terms

By posting a listing on UCFS, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understand these rules
  • You agree to comply with all policies
  • You accept full responsibility for your listings and transactions
